Styles of Painting
There are many different styles of painting to choose from. Here is a list of some of the more common ones, so read through them and see if anything interests you!

Abstract: The subject of abstract paintings is sometimes unable to be depicted. Abstract is known for their different interpretations and array of colors and shapes.

Pop Art: This style of painting uses cartoons and bright colors to display the artist's message.

Realism: The artist tries to depict a real world scene in this form of painting.
Types of Paint
The different painting mediums that can be used is sometimes a key difference in artists interests. There are many different types, but this list has some of the more common ones.

Acrylic: This is the type that many people think of when they think of painting. It is used commonly for decorative paintings and on canvases. These paints usually last a while, and they dry very quickly.

Oil: Oil painting has been around for a very long time. This is one of the harder mediums to paint with, as many famous painters use this.

Water Color: This type of paint is mixed with water to be used. It is easy to paint with, as many kids enjoy this form.
